MASSAGE THERAPY ASSOCIATION PATIENT SURVEY

A recent MTA survey of patients having massage therapy had the following results:

1. 98% of patients believe that massage therapy is effective treatment for their medical conditions

2. 95% of patients said that massage therapy improved their condition.

3. 49% said massage therapy allowed them to reduce drug usage or other medical treatment.

4. 79% of patients sought massage therapy because of back and/or neck pain.

5. 10% use it because of muscle pain, stress or stiffness.

6. 8% use it because of headaches.
